Refunds for fees 2010
I have now completed the refund process. I have refunded all new entrants, Clubs and all outsiders. I thought this was the fairest way to go about it, if you have not given me your address please do so and I will send your refund. A lot of people have indicated they want their fee left for next year which I have done. The Kinglea One Loft Race will be running next year....
Synopsis so far
Ater getting the all clear for the birds I thought things would get better but life ain't like that, I had a cat visit the loft killing one bird and maiming another. Those that escaped did not come in for two nights. After sorting that out it was down to training missing the first race then joining in on the second one (St Boswells) well that was a major error as the Federation had a disaster with very poor returns I lost 30 from 53 sent. Sending to the second race things looked like improving but we had North/easterly winds which the birds do not like so was surprised to gain 2nd Club and 3rd Fed sending 18 with 14 home on the day. I am still getting birds returned from the St Boswells race so can only hope they keep comming. Looking back at the events I now realise it was the right decision to cancel the event. KOLR Cancellation
I have taken the decision to cancel the Kingslea One Loft Race because of continual problems within the loft which seem never ending. This decision has not been made lightly but has to be made before I try and race the birds then all sorts of problems arise. Everyone who was to participate will get a full refund. This may seem to be a drastic step but I would rather do that than try to continue knowing something is not right. I am not blaming anyone or anything because I am in charge of the loft and birds. I have had them tested, droppings and throat swabs. Droppings came back clear but the cultures indicated a bacterial infection. Treatment has been given and the birds are flying well but I have lost confidence in them which leads me to this decision. I know I have let all of you down but would rather do the right thing and return fees paid than try to blunder my way through racing which is questionable.
