Kingslea One loft Race 2011
!st March 2011 and the first of the babies are 5 days old, I looked at them today for the first time they will be needing rings fitted in the next few days I have purchased Life Rings with ETS attached as a trial and I am very pleased with them, they are compact compared to having to wear two rings. Old birds are out flying and bathing and looking well, just lets hope the weather remains like this for a few weeks.I will post pictures of the babies and parents soon. After last year the birds are in fine fettel soon be time to get some testing done. Thursday the 3rd March and I have rung the first of the youngsters between now and Monday 7th March I should have a fair few to ring....
Rules 2011
Birds Only birds bred at the loft will be used for this race. No birds from outside lofts will be entered, this is to reduce the likeliehood of medical problems occurring. For 2011 I will not be bringing in gift pigeons. The birds will be owned and raced in the name of Coutts Evans & McKay. All of the birds will be on the darkness system. Payment To be made on or before the draw on 29th May or withdrawl will ensue. Syndicates Each syndicate will have a maximum of 40 entries, plus one in house 'gift' pigeon. There will be no limit on the number of syndicates. Any individual, club or business can purchase a bird. Why not buy a bird for club funds? Raffle & Gift Pigeons It is anticipated that there will be one 'gift' pigeon per syndicate, and the 'owner' of this pigeon will be decided by raffle. Race programme 2011
The race programme as set by the Aberdeen Federation will be 8 races as there is an additional race in the young bird programme I need a sponsor (£200) for the 4 syndicates (£50) each or I need to drop one race. At this moment in time I will propose to drop race 3 from the Federation programme this being the worst race in the Federation young bird programme last year as this is when we meet in with about 13 other Federations. Refunds for fees 2010
I have now completed the refund process. I have refunded all new entrants, Clubs and all outsiders. I thought this was the fairest way to go about it, if you have not given me your address please do so and I will send your refund. A lot of people have indicated they want their fee left for next year which I have done. The Kinglea One Loft Race will be running next year....
