    Birds

    • Only birds bred at the loft will be used for this race. No birds from outside lofts will be entered, this is to reduce the likeliehood of medical problems occurring. For 2011 I will not be bringing in gift pigeons.

    • All of the birds will be on the darkness system.

    • Each syndicate will have a maximum of 40 entries, plus one in house 'gift' pigeon.
    • There will be no limit on the number of syndicates.
    • Any individual, club or business can purchase a bird. Why not buy a bird for club funds?

    Raffle & Gift Pigeons

    • It is anticipated that there will be one 'gift' pigeon per syndicate, and the 'owner' of this pigeon will be decided by raffle.
    • The raffle will be drawn at the Barbecue on Sunday 29th May 2011. (2pm  - 5pm)

    Prize Money

      3. Third prize £250
There will be 7 training races with the Aberdeen Federation (see race programme) each with a  £50 prize for the first bird home (one race has been dropped)

    Racing

    • All of the birds will compete in club racing.
    • All of the birds will be recorded by the ETS system and race marked at the Sunnybank R.P.C. or as applicable to the Aberdeen Federation.
    • All training races and the final race will be with the Aberdeen Federation.
    • The final race being the last Aberdeen Federation young bird race, all birds left that are fit will be sent to the race.
    • In the event of a race being cancelled, that race will be discarded completely.
    • In the event of the final race being cancelled, the last race flown will be used to payout the prize money. This will guarantee that the prize money will be paid out.
    • The Aberdeen Federation's race controller's decision is final and binding.

    Lost Birds

It is hoped to replace lost birds (where possible) before the first race so everyone has the opportunity to participate in the event. This is the same as previous years.

    Decisions

Any queries or decisions not accounted for will be made by the loft manger (Ian McKay) and will be final and binding.

    Conclusion

This race is being run to generate interest in pigeon racing NOT for profit. It is hoped to have a complimentary barbecue on Sunday 29th May to draw the birds and raffle. We also hope to have a complimentry barbecue at the last race 3rd September
